Chicken feed pellet production line
The production process of the chicken feed pellet production line mainly includes raw material crushing, mixing, pelleting, cooling, screening and packaging. The equipment in each link works together to ensure the nutritional quality, palatability and storage stability of the pellet feed.
Crushing Proces
A crusher crushes raw materials (such as corn and soybean meal) to an appropriate particle size (typically 1-2mm), increasing the surface area for better mixing and facilitating subsequent pelleting.
Mixing Process
The mixed ingredients are thoroughly agitated in a mixer, where vitamins, minerals, and other trace ingredients are added to ensure uniform nutrient distribution and prevent picky eating by animals.
Core Process of Pelletization
The mixed material is fed into a pellet mill, where it is formed under high temperature and high pressure by rollers and a ring die. This process gelatinizes the starch, improving digestibility. The high temperature also kills some pathogens, enhancing feed safety. Pellet hardness and diameter can be adjusted by adjusting the ring die specifications to meet specific requirements.
Cooling and Screening
The hot pellets are cooled in a countercurrent cooler to reduce moisture content (≤12%) and prevent mold. A vibrating screen removes debris to ensure pellet integrity. The finished pellets are then fed to the packaging machine.
Packaging and Storage
Automatic packaging machines weigh and seal the pellets, making them easier to transport and feed. Some production lines are equipped with grease spraying equipment to increase energy content.
