How does a pet meal production line operate
Leave a message
The pet pellet production line has several "specialized pieces of equipment" compared to aquaculture lines, placing greater emphasis on nutrition and palatability. The first is a meat pre-processing machine, which processes fresh meat, meat meal, and grains separately. The fresh meat is first minced and then dried to prevent moisture absorption when mixed with grains. Next is a multi-vitamin mixer, which, in addition to the main ingredients, evenly mixes in vitamins, minerals, probiotics, and even meat flavorings that pets love, ensuring every pellet has a "meaty" taste.
The core equipment is the extrusion pellet mill. Unlike ordinary pellet mills, it uses high temperature and pressure to extrude the raw materials, producing pellets that are loose and crisp, comfortable for pets to chew, and also killing bacteria in the raw materials. Following this is a flavor sprayer, which sprays on chicken or beef flavored oils to further enhance palatability, making it appealing even to picky eaters.
Other essential equipment is also required: multiple raw material silos for separate storage of meat and grains to prevent cross-contamination of flavors; a cleaning machine that removes impurities and filters out spoiled raw materials; a cooling and drying machine that controls moisture content below 10% to extend the shelf life of the pellets; and a packaging machine with a vacuum function to remove air and prevent the feed from oxidizing and developing an off-flavor. For example, when making dog food, a meat pretreatment machine makes the meat meal finer, an extrusion pellet mill makes the pellets chewy, and a flavor spraying machine makes the dog food smell delicious. Only by working together can these devices produce feed that pets love to eat and that owners can trust.
