How to determine whether a feed pellet mill is lubricated based on the condition of its lubrication system components
Leave a message
The lubrication system of the feed pellet machine (such as the lubricating oil pump, oil pipe, oil level gauge) directly reflects the lubrication condition. If the system components have problems such as insufficient oil, grease deterioration or pipe blockage, it can be directly determined that the lubrication is insufficient. This is the most direct way to judge.
Check the lubrication system in three ways: First, check the oil level gauge. Under normal circumstances, the lubricating oil level should be between 1/2 and 2/3 of the way up. If the oil level is below 1/3, or if a large number of bubbles appear in the gauge or the oil is turbid (normally transparent or light yellow), it indicates insufficient oil or grease deterioration, preventing it from providing lubrication. Second, check the lubrication pump. After starting the equipment, observe whether the pump is operating properly (listen for the pump's running sound and check the pressure gauge for pressure readings; the normal pressure is 0.2-0.4 MPa). If the pump has no pressure, makes unusual sounds, or no oil is flowing through the oil pipes, it indicates a pump failure, preventing grease delivery and leaving components unlubricated. Third, inspect lubrication points (such as roller bearings and spindle bearings) by removing the bearing end caps. If the grease in the bearing is dry and lumpy, or if there is metal debris mixed in the grease, it indicates chronic lubrication deficiency, causing component wear.
If any of the above problems occur in the lubrication system, the pellet machine must be shut down immediately for inspection. Add qualified grease, repair the oil pump, or clear any blocked pipes. Ensure the lubrication system is functioning properly before restarting the pellet machine to avoid lubrication failure caused by system failure.
