How to ensure feed quality in a fully equipped floating fish food making production line?

The quality requirements for floating fish feed pellets are far higher than those for poultry and livestock. Fish feed needs to ensure stable buoyancy (or sinking), shrimp feed needs to control particle size uniformity (1-2mm), and turtle feed needs to balance hardness and water solubility. If the production line equipment is rudimentary, problems such as uneven particle size, poor buoyancy, and nutrient loss are likely to occur, directly affecting the growth of aquatic animals and the efficiency of aquaculture. A complete production line processing equipment can ensure feed quality from the source and meet the special needs of different aquatic animals.

Production line process

Raw material cleaning → ultrafine grinding → precise ingredient formulation → mixing → conditioning → extrusion/granulation → cooling → screening → finished product testing → packaging – the entire process is designed around the quality requirements of aquatic feed.

Core Production Advantages

1. Precise control of physical properties adapts to the needs of different aquatic animals.

For fish feed, the production line is equipped with a special extruder for floating feed (barrel pressure 0.8-1.2MPa), which precisely controls the degree of extrusion (above 90%) to ensure that the pellets float in water for more than 4 hours without disintegrating. For shrimp feed, an ultra-fine pulverizer can pulverize raw materials to above 120 mesh, and with a special ring die (aperture 1-2mm, length-to-diameter ratio 1:12), the produced pellets have a uniformity of 95% (particle size deviation ≤0.1mm), meeting the feeding needs of juvenile shrimp. For turtle feed, the pellet mill is equipped with a hardness regulator (pressure roller pressure 0.6-0.8MPa), controlling the pellet hardness at 2.5-3.5kg, which not only prevents breakage when turtles eat it, but also ensures slow dissolution in water (dissolution rate ≤5%/hour).

2. Low-temperature processing reduces nutrient loss and preserves the activity of raw materials.

The conditioning process of the production line adopts "low-temperature steam conditioning" technology (temperature 75-85℃), combined with an insulation layer (thickness 8cm), which ensures starch gelatinization rate (above 80%) while avoiding protein denaturation (such as loss of lysine in fishmeal) and vitamin destruction (such as increasing vitamin C retention rate from 60% in scattered equipment to 85%) caused by high temperature (>90℃). The cooling process adopts gradient cooling (pre-cooling with 25℃ cold air first, then cooling at room temperature) to avoid oxidation of nutrients caused by excessive temperature difference between the inside and outside of the pellets, ensuring that the feed nutrition meets the growth needs of aquatic animals.

3. The entire production process is clean, reducing the risk of contamination.

All parts of the production line that come into contact with raw materials are made of 304 stainless steel (such as the inner tank of the mixer and the conveying pipes), eliminating any unsanitary corners. It is also equipped with a CIP cleaning system (in-situ cleaning) that can periodically perform high-pressure spray cleaning (pressure 0.6MPa) on the inside of the equipment to avoid feed contamination caused by residual mold in the raw materials. The raw material cleaning process is equipped with a double-layer magnetic separator (magnetic force 12000 Gauss) and a vibrating screen (aperture 5mm) to remove metal impurities (such as iron nails and bolts) and large foreign objects (such as corn cobs). The impurity content of the finished product is ≤0.1%, far below the industry standard (0.5%).
