Causes of the malfunction: There are four main reasons for excessive noise in fish feed production equipment. First, insufficient lubrication: A lack of oil in the feeding screw and bearings causes dry friction between metal parts, producing a squeaking noise. Second, loose parts: Loose screws in the feeding mechanism cause the parts to wobble and collide during operation, producing a thumping sound. Third, worn parts: Worn or deformed bearings or the feeding screw over time produce a rustling sound during operation. Fourth, hard impurities in the raw materials, such as small stones, cause a crisp clicking sound when they collide with the machine.

Solutions: First, disconnect the power. Troubleshoot in order of increasing complexity. Step 1: Lubricate the machine. Locate the oil filler ports on the feeding screw and bearings and add dedicated mechanical lubricant. Do not use cooking oil, as it easily deteriorates and clumps. Step 2: Check the fixing screws. Tighten all screws on the feeding mechanism and motor with a wrench, especially the screws around the feed inlet, as loose screws are most likely to cause noise.

If the noise persists after oiling and tightening the screws on the fish food extruder machine, check the parts. Open the side cover and inspect the bearings; if they show obvious wear or rust, replace them with new ones. Next, check the feed screw; if there is uneven wear on the surface, minor wear can be sanded down, but severe wear requires replacing the screw. If the noise is a clicking or rattling sound, sift the raw materials to remove any hard impurities. If there is still slight noise during testing, don't worry; normal machine operation sounds are normal, as long as it's not an ear-piercing noise.
