Production process description
First, raw material inspection and pretreatment are conducted: main ingredients (corn, soybean meal, wheat) are tested for moisture, purity, and nutrient content to ensure they meet standards; impurities like stones, metal fragments, and moldy grains are removed via sieving and magnetic separation.
Next, crushing is performed-large grains (e.g., whole corn) are crushed into fine particles (1–3 mm) using a hammer mill or roller mill, which increases the surface area of materials for better mixing and digestion.
Third, ingredient mixing takes place in a horizontal mixer: main ingredients are added according to formula ratios (e.g., 60% corn, 25% soybean meal), along with micro-additives (vitamins, minerals, probiotics) that are pre-diluted to ensure uniform distribution (mixing uniformity coefficient ≤5%).
Fourth, pelletizing or extrusion shapes the mixture: for ruminant feed, a pellet mill uses low-temperature steam (60–80°C) to soften the material, then presses it through a die to form hard pellets; for aquatic or pet feed, an extruder uses high temperature (80–130°C) and pressure (2–10 MPa) to create porous, palatable pellets.
Fifth, cooling and drying adjusts moisture: 刚 formed pellets (80–100°C, 18–22% moisture) are cooled to room temperature (≤30°C) with a counterflow cooler, reducing moisture to ≤12%; aquatic feed may need additional drying to lower moisture to 8–10%. Finally, screening and packaging are done: a vibrating sieve removes broken pellets and powder, and qualified products are packaged into 25kg or 50kg bags (or bulk containers) with labels indicating feed type, nutrient composition, and shelf life.
