Due to the many varieties of aquatic feeds, big changes of raw materials, high requirements of crushing fineness and poor fluidity of materials, the production process of aquatic puffed pellet feed requires high requirements, and the typical process mainly includes: the reception of raw materials, cleaning, coarse crushing, primary batching and mixing, secondary crushing, secondary mixing, tempering and puffing, pelleting and spraying, and the product grading and packaging and other processes.

The raw materials used in feed mills are mainly in the form of powder and granule. The former does not require coarse crushing, the raw materials can be directly through the pit, elevator, into the cone cleaning sieve to remove impurities, and then magnetic separation, through the distributor or spiral winch directly into the batching bin, participate in the batching. The latter need to be roughly crushed, the material through the pit, elevator into the cleaning equipment for the removal of impurities and magnetic separation processing, into the bin to be crushed. Each raw material enters the secondary mixer after the second batching. In the upper part of the secondary mixer there is an artificial feeding port for the addition of trace additives, there are two liquid adding devices on the mixer, respectively, for the addition of grease and water. In the process of secondary mixing, the materials must be fully mixed, and the coefficient of variation CV is less than 5%. The materials are micro-crushed and mixed with secondary ingredients and then enter into the latter process---expanding and granulating process.

In the extrusion puffing process, the material is cooked for a period of time at high temperature, high humidity and high pressure, during which the physical and chemical properties of the material undergoes drastic changes (mainly starch dextrinization and protein denaturation), and the pressure suddenly drops at the moment of extrusion from the die hole, the moisture in the feed is transformed from liquid to gas and emitted from the feed, resulting in the material puffing up and the formation of the so-called puffed feed. Because this feed not only has the advantages of general hard pellet feed - good palatability, avoiding automatic grading of products, easy to transport, but also has a unique advantage - high degree of starch paste in the feed, protein is more easily digestible, reduce the feeding process of the Waste, improve the utilization rate of feed for animals; has excellent floatability, easy to observe the feeding situation of fish, can control water pollution.
