How Can The Clumping Issue in Mixed Raw Materials Be Resolved in A Small Poultry Feed Machine Once Additives Are Added?

First, check the type of additive. If powdered additives clump together, it's mostly due to moisture absorption. Spread them out in a cool, ventilated place to dry for 1-2 hours, then break up the clumps by hand. Mix them with five times the amount of fine bran to make a "diluent packet." This will reduce the size of the additive particles and prevent clumping. For liquid additives (such as enzymes), don't pour them directly. First, pour them into a small amount of vegetable oil and stir well. Then, use a brush to apply them to the dry raw materials, stirring constantly.
Control the moisture content of the raw materials during mixing. If the dry material's moisture content exceeds 18%, it will definitely clump after adding the additive. Spread the dry material out to dry until the moisture content is below 15%. If using a mixer, preheat it by running it idle for 1 minute, then pour in the dry raw materials, run it for 1 minute, and then add the diluted additive. Continue stirring for 3 minutes. This reduces the contact time between the additive and the wet material.
If there are still a few lumps after mixing, do not feed them directly into the pellet mill. Break the lumps by hand or sieve them to remove the coarse lumps and remix them. Otherwise, the lumps will block the die holes of the pellet feed making machine, resulting in uneven pellet output. You will have to disassemble the machine for cleaning, which is very troublesome.
