What Should I Do in The Event That The Equipment On The Chicken Feed Complete Production Line Overheats?

Overheating of the die head is the most common type of problem, with two main causes: first, blocked die holes hinder heat dissipation; second, imbalanced raw material moisture exacerbates frictional heat generation. If the raw material has a high coarse fiber content (e.g., more than 30% straw powder) and is not fully pulverized, it easily accumulates in the die holes, causing poor material flow and preventing the heat generated by friction from dissipating with the particles. To resolve this, the machine must be stopped immediately, and the die head soaked in a special high-temperature cleaning agent for 30 minutes. Then, each die hole should be cleared individually with a suitable cleaning needle, while simultaneously controlling the raw material particle size to above 80 mesh. Raw material moisture content also needs strict control. When the moisture content is below 12%, the friction coefficient between the material and the die holes increases, easily leading to "dry grinding" overheating. In this case, water should be evenly added to the raw material using a spray device to adjust the moisture content to 14%-16%. Moisture content above 18% will cause the material to stick to the die head, requiring the use of a drying system to pre-treat the raw material.

 

Overheating of the pressure rollers is often caused by improper gap adjustment and lubrication failure. The normal clearance between the pressure roller and the die head should be maintained at 0.1-0.3mm. If the clearance is too small, the rigid friction between the two will increase, causing the temperature to spike quickly. If the clearance is too large, the material will not be fully extruded, indirectly increasing the load on the die head. To resolve this, a feeler gauge should be used to accurately measure the clearance, and the clearance should be calibrated by adjusting the adjusting bolts on the pressure roller shaft. Furthermore, if the pressure roller bearings are not lubricated regularly, they will generate high temperatures due to dry friction. Lithium-based grease should be added before starting the machine daily, and the bearings should be disassembled and inspected weekly for wear. If ball bearings are found to be peeling off or the seals are aging, they should be replaced immediately.

 

Overheating of the transmission system is mainly caused by motor overload and poor heat dissipation. When the feeding speed exceeds the rated capacity of the pellet mill (e.g., forcibly increasing a 500kg/hour machine to 800kg/hour), the motor will overheat due to excessive load. In this case, the feeding speed should be reduced to the rated value, and the feeder should be checked for uneven feeding caused by material jamming. Dust clogging of the motor cooling fan is also a common cause. The fan blades and cooling vents should be blown clean with compressed air daily to ensure proper heat dissipation. If the motor temperature continues to exceed 75℃, the motor insulation performance needs to be tested. If necessary, replace it with a variable frequency motor of the same model and avoid overload through precise speed adjustment.
