The ring die pellet mill utilizes a symmetrical structure of a ring die + multiple rollers (usually 2-4) to achieve more uniform distribution of raw materials within the pelletizing chamber, resulting in extrusion efficiency far superior to that of flat die pellet mills (which tend to aggregate raw materials with single or double rollers). Its production capacity ranges from 5-30 tons/hour (some large models can reach over 50 tons/hour) and can operate continuously 24 hours a day. This is particularly true for large-scale feed mills with daily production demands of thousands of tons, which flat die pellet mills (with a capacity of 0.5-2 tons/hour and requiring frequent downtime for cleaning) simply cannot meet. Forcibly replacing it with a flat die pellet mill would require dozens of pieces of equipment and a significant labor burden, resulting in extremely low production efficiency and difficulty in coordination.
Strong automation integration reduces manual labor. The ring die pelletizer's feeding, conditioning, extrusion, and pelletizing processes seamlessly integrate with the upstream "crushing-batch-mixing" system and the downstream "cooling-grading-packaging" system. Fully automated through a PLC control system. For example, raw materials are automatically fed into the silo via a scraper conveyor, the conditioner automatically adjusts the steam addition based on the raw material's moisture content, and the pellets are directly fed into the cooler after pelletizing. This entire process requires no frequent human intervention, reducing labor costs (a single ring die pelletizing line only requires one or two people to monitor it) and avoiding errors caused by manual operation (such as uneven raw material addition).
