How to Save Money on a dry pet food making machine?

content

Raw material pretreatment optimization: Improve utilization and reduce loss. According to the raw material pretreatment standards in the reference materials, raw materials need to be crushed to 80-100 mesh. Uniform particle size improves the cooking effect of the dog food maker machine and reduces particle breakage loss. At the same time, strictly screen raw materials to remove impurities such as sand and metal to prevent wear on extruder parts, reduce maintenance costs, and avoid raw material waste caused by impurities. Raw material moisture content should be controlled at 12%-14%. Too high a moisture content can easily lead to extruder blockage and raw material sticking loss, while too low a moisture content will increase extrusion energy consumption and cause particle loosening loss. Moisture content can be adjusted by drying or spraying water to ensure the raw materials are suitable for extruder operation and minimize raw material loss.

Raw material formula optimization: Replace high-priced raw materials and reduce formula costs. While ensuring feed nutritional standards are met, replacing expensive raw materials with low-cost ones, combined with the pet food extruder machine's curing process, does not affect feed quality. Replacing some fishmeal and soybean meal with pea flour and sweet potato flour can reduce formulation costs by 8%-12%. Simultaneously, the high-temperature, high-pressure curing effect of the extruder fully denatures plant proteins, improving digestibility and absorption without affecting fish growth. Adding 10%-15% high-fiber raw materials (such as alfalfa meal) to replace some corn flour reduces formulation costs while increasing feed fiber content, meeting the digestive needs of fish. After formula optimization, the extruder parameters need to be fine-tuned (e.g., increasing temperature by 5-10℃, increasing pressure by 0.5-1MPa) to ensure thorough curing of raw materials and maintain pellet quality.

Raw material storage optimization: Preventing mold and reducing waste. Moldy raw materials lead to significant waste and increased costs, necessitating proper storage management: Pre-treated raw materials should be sealed and stored in a dry, well-ventilated place to prevent moisture absorption and mold growth; the condition of raw materials should be checked regularly, and any moldy materials should be promptly removed to prevent them from entering the Dog Food Extruder machine and to avoid contamination of other materials. Furthermore, raw material procurement should be conducted in "small quantities, multiple times" to avoid long-term storage that could lead to mold growth, and to mitigate the cost risks associated with raw material price fluctuations.
