What is the key to improving the process of pet puffed pellet production line?

First, a "quick-change modular mold" is adopted. Traditional molds are one-piece designs, requiring disassembly of the machine head for replacement, taking 1-2 hours and impacting production efficiency. The improved design uses a modular mold, consisting of a mold base and a mold core. The mold core can be replaced separately without disassembling the machine head; it can be changed in 5 minutes using a special tool. The mold core comes in various sizes: a 2mm diameter round core for small dogs, a 5mm diameter cylindrical core for large dogs, and a 3mm×10mm flat core for cats. It can also create fun shapes such as five-pointed stars and bones to meet the needs of different pets.

Second, the mold material and structure are optimized. Pet food ingredients often contain hard components such as meat meal and bone meal. Traditional molds use ordinary alloy steel, which is prone to wear and requires polishing every 1-2 months. The improved mold material is changed to "high-speed steel + ceramic coating," resulting in higher surface hardness, three times improved wear resistance, and a service life extended to over 6 months. Furthermore, the inner wall of the die cavity is designed with a "spiral texture," creating a slight spiral pattern during raw material extrusion. This not only makes the pellets more aesthetically pleasing but also increases surface area, making them easier for pets to digest and reducing breakage during transportation.

Finally, an "adjustable hardness die" is added. Pets of different ages have different feeding hardness requirements. For example, puppies and senior dogs need softer food, while adult dogs need food with moderate hardness. The innovative die controls hardness by adjusting the compression ratio of the die cavity: a larger inlet and smaller outlet result in a higher compression ratio and harder pellets; similar inlet and outlet sizes result in a lower compression ratio and softer pellets. The pet feed extruder line can be equipped with die cores of different compression ratios, such as a 1:4 compression ratio for puppy food and a 1:6 compression ratio for adult dogs. Without adjusting other equipment parameters, it can produce food with different hardness levels, flexibly responding to market demands.
