How To Develop A Lubrication Plan Based On The Workload Of A Cattle Feed Making Machine?

Based on daily operating time, we can determine lubrication cycles in three scenarios. Simply match the scenario to your chicken feed maker machine. The first is "intermittent use," such as a small pellet grinder machine used by a family farm for 2-3 hours daily under light load. Lubricate the pressure roller bearings every 15 days; check the oil level in the main shaft gearbox monthly and completely change the oil every 3 months. The second is "regular use," for a medium-sized farm's feed granulator, operating 4-8 hours daily. The pressure roller bearings need weekly lubrication; check the oil level in the main shaft gearbox every 2 weeks and change the oil every 2 months. The third is "continuous use," for a feed mill's Agricultural Poultry Feed Production Line, operating for over 10 hours daily under high-intensity conditions. The pressure roller bearings must be lubricated before starting each day to ensure smooth operation throughout the day; check the oil level in the main shaft gearbox weekly and completely change the oil monthly to ensure the gears are always protected with fresh oil.
Besides operating time, special processing conditions also require flexible adjustments. For example, when processing high-dust materials like straw and sawdust, dust can easily get into the bearings, causing the grease to become dirty and clump. The lubrication cycle needs to be halved, from once a week to every 3-4 days. Before each lubrication, be sure to use a small brush to clean the dust from the grease inlet to prevent impurities from getting in. If processing high-moisture materials like fresh grass or distiller's grains, the moisture will dilute the grease. After lubrication, cover the grease inlet with a dust cap to prevent moisture from seeping in, and also shorten the lubrication interval accordingly.
It is recommended to keep a "Lubrication Record Sheet," a simple table, noting the date, lubricated area, type of grease used, and operator after each lubrication. This helps prevent lubrication leaks and allows you to find the cause when the animal pellet making machine malfunctions. During routine inspections, if you find that the grease has changed color (e.g., from light yellow to dark brown), thinned, or contains impurities, regardless of whether it's the lubrication interval yet, thoroughly clean out the old grease and replace it with new grease. A fish feed factory in Zhejiang did just that, reducing the average annual downtime for its pellet mill from 80 hours to 15 hours, resulting in a 20% increase in pellet production. The effect was remarkable.
