By optimizing pelleting process parameters (such as conditioning temperature, steam pressure, and die compression ratio), the pellets achieve a compact structure and moderate hardness. Once introduced into the water, they remain intact and insoluble for 2-4 hours. This characteristic not only reduces feed waste and water pollution from residual feed (for example, preventing excess ammonia nitrogen and nitrite levels in the water from residual feed decomposition), but also allows fish (especially bottom-feeding fish) ample time to consume, thereby improving feed utilization. Actual aquaculture data demonstrates that the feed conversion rate (FC) of pelleted feed can be reduced by 0.2-0.5, indirectly saving farmers 15-20% in feed costs. It also alleviates the burden of water quality management in aquaculture, reducing the frequency of water changes and water treatment costs.
