Product advantages
Unlike dry dog food, fish feed must withstand water immersion (to avoid dissolution and water pollution) and be suitable for fish feeding habits (e.g., floating, slow-sinking, sinking pellets). Production lines solve these key challenges through specialized processing:
Controlled water stability: The extrusion process adjusts pellet density and surface compactness, enabling the production of floating feed (for surface-feeding fish like tilapia), slow-sinking feed (for mid-water fish like carp), or sinking feed (for bottom-feeding fish like catfish). These pellets retain their shape in water for 1–4 hours (far longer than manually made feed), reducing nutrient leaching and preventing water eutrophication.
Uniform pellet size and texture: PLC-controlled cutting systems produce pellets of consistent diameter (0.5–10mm) and hardness, matching the mouth size of different fish stages (e.g., 0.8mm pellets for fry, 8mm pellets for adult bass). This avoids feed waste (from uneaten oversized pellets) and ensures fry can swallow and digest feed easily.
