Newbies often encounter problems when replacing feed granulator discs?

For beginners changing grinding discs, remember two core principles: "Disconnect the power first, align the markings." In addition to standard tools, it's recommended to prepare a clean cloth and a small box (for storing screws to prevent loss). Disconnecting the power is crucial; even for short periods, never work with the machine powered on.

After opening the food pellet making machine cover, locate the positioning marks on the grinding disc. Some are engraved marks, others are dots of different colors. There are also corresponding marks on the spindle. This is key to preventing incorrect installation. Many beginners overlook these marks and install the disc backwards, resulting in excessive noise during machine operation and potential damage to the spindle.

When removing the old disc, if the screws are removed but the disc remains stuck, it may be stuck to the spindle. In this case, gently tap the edge of the grinding disc a few times with a rubber mallet. Do not use a hammer, as it will damage the disc. After removal, be sure to thoroughly clean the powder from the spindle and machine cavity. Residual feed will clump when damp, causing uneven installation of the new disc.

When installing a new grinding disc, do not tighten all the screws at once. First, tighten all the screws until you can turn them by hand, then tighten them one by one. This ensures even pressure on the grinding disc. A common mistake for beginners is to tighten one screw completely first, making it impossible to tighten the others, or resulting in a crooked disc installation.

If you hear a slight abnormal noise during testing, disconnect the power and check if the screws are loose or if there are impurities on the grinding disc. If the abnormal noise is loud, do not turn the feed pellet maker machine on again; the disc may be installed backwards. Immediately remove it and reinstall it according to the markings. After replacing the disc, store the old grinding disc carefully; if it is only slightly worn, it can be used as a spare in case of emergency.
