What issues result in reduced output and low capacity of small poultry feed equipment?

 

 

1. Feeding system blockage: Raw materials that are damp and clump together (e.g., damp corn) in the feeder's hopper or conveyor pipes block the channels, preventing smooth entry into the pellet mill and reducing the feed rate.
2. Insufficient gap between the pressure roller and the die: A gap less than 0.1mm causes direct friction between the pressure roller and the die, not only wearing down components but also hindering raw material entry into the die orifices, reducing the discharge speed. Alternatively, an excessively large gap results in insufficient material compression, with some material leaking out without participating in pelleting.
3. Drive belt slippage: A loose drive belt between the motor and the pellet mill (e.g., worn and stretched belt) or oil on the pulley surface prevents effective power transmission, reducing the pellet mill's speed and slowing the discharge.
4. Incorrect raw material particle size: Raw materials that are ground too coarsely (e.g., corn kernels exceeding 2mm in diameter) cannot pass smoothly through the die orifices or have difficulty being compressed within them, leading to a decrease in discharge speed.

 

 

 

 

1. Cleaning the feeding system: Disconnect the power supply, disassemble the feeder hopper and conveying pipe, and break up any clumps of raw material with a shovel or wooden stick. If the inner wall of the pipe is heavily adhered to material, rinse it with hot water first (and let it dry before use) to ensure unobstructed flow. Afterward, ensure proper moisture protection during raw material storage to prevent re-clumping.
2. Calibrate the gap between the pressure roller and the die: Measure the gap with a feeler gauge. If it is too small, loosen the pressure roller adjusting bolt and adjust the gap to 0.1-0.2mm. If it is too large, tighten the bolt to reduce the gap. After adjustment, test the machine and observe whether the output is uniform and whether the speed has recovered.
3. Troubleshooting the drive belt: If the belt is loose, loosen the motor fixing bolts, move the motor outward, tighten the belt (press the belt by hand; the deflection should not exceed 1cm), and then fix the motor. If the belt is oily, wipe it clean with a cloth dampened with alcohol. Replace the severely worn belt if necessary.
4. Adjust the particle size of the raw material: Check the screen of the crusher. If the screen aperture is too large (e.g., more than 1.5mm), replace it with a screen with an aperture of 1-1.2mm. Crush the raw material to a uniform particle size to ensure that it can pass smoothly through the die holes of the pellet mill.
