What to do if a small floating fish feed making machine malfunctions?

content

Fault 1: Fish pellet making machine blockage prevents normal output – Quick troubleshooting and timely handling. Root cause: Excessive moisture content or particle size in the raw material, or excessive feed rate to the pellet mill exceeding the extruder's load. Solution: Immediately stop the machine, shut off the feeding system, and slowly open the extruder's pressure relief valve to discharge residual material. Disassemble the extruder and use specialized tools to clean blockages in the screw, barrel, and die head, checking for unobstructed die head openings. After cleaning, re-screen the raw material, adjust the moisture content, reduce the pellet mill feed rate, restart the equipment, and gradually increase the feed rate to the normal range. Prevention tips: Strictly control raw material pretreatment standards, adjust the feed rate according to the extruder load, and avoid blindly increasing the feed.

Fault 2: Unqualified pellets (loose, poor buoyancy) – Fine-tune extruder parameters. Root cause: Insufficient temperature or pressure in the small fish food pellet making machine, or improper adjustment of the pellet mill feed rate or cutter speed, resulting in insufficient material maturation and unstable pelleting. Solutions: 1. Optimize the parameters of the extruder, appropriately increasing the temperature by 5-10℃ and the pressure by 0.5-1MPa to extend the material maturation time; fine-tune the feed rate of the pellet mill to avoid insufficient feed leading to loose pellets or excessive feed leading to overly crushed pellets; calibrate the cutter speed to ensure uniform pellet size. Simultaneously, sample and check the raw material moisture and particle size; if they do not meet standards, adjust promptly until the pellet quality is acceptable.

Fault 3: Abnormal noise from equipment, motor overload – Troubleshoot components and reduce load. Root cause: Severe wear of the screw and barrel of the dog food manufacturing machine, or jamming of the pellet mill cutter or poor feeding, leading to excessive equipment load, abnormal noise, and motor overload. Solution: Immediately stop the machine, check the wear of the extruder screw and barrel, and repair or replace them promptly; clean the residual material on the pellet mill cutter and check if the cutter installation is secure; check the feeding system to ensure uniform feeding and avoid blockages that cause excessive load. After the repair is completed, restart the equipment and gradually increase the feed rate to avoid overloading again. At the same time, regularly check the wear of the parts and take preventive measures.
