How Does The Feed Extruder Work?

The working process of the feed extruder starts with feeding. Moisture control is an important part of the work of the feed extruder, because it greatly affects the puffing effect and shape of the product. After adding materials, the steam is heated by the coil, the water gradually evaporates, and the materials are cooked. The heated material enters the expansion chamber and begins to expand. The moisture inside the material generates steam under high temperature and high pressure, causing the volume of the material to expand suddenly, forming a puffing effect.

The expanded material enters the extruder. The extruder extrudes the material under high temperature and pressure forward through a series of actions such as pressure conversion and heat consumption. During the extrusion process, the material is pressed and formed by the die to make the material appearance neat and coordinated. Especially in the process preparation of porous materials, extrusion technology can simplify the puffing and molding process and improve material quality and production efficiency.
