How To Reduce The Later Losses Of Ornamental Fish Feed Extruder Products?

Reasons for Finished Product Losses:

1. Poor Storage Environment: High humidity and temperature in the finished product warehouse (e.g., exceeding 30℃ in summer) cause feed to absorb moisture, clump, and mold; disorderly stacking within the warehouse, with finished product bags piled too high (e.g., more than 10 layers), causing the bottom bags to break and feed to scatter.

2. Inadequate Packaging: Poor quality finished product packaging bags (e.g., insufficient thickness, weak seals) lead to bag damage during storage, allowing feed to absorb moisture from the air; or the packaging bags may not be labeled with production dates or expiration dates, resulting in expired feed not being disposed of in time and ultimately being discarded.

3.Improper Transportation: Unclean transport vehicle compartments (residual sewage, impurities) contaminate the feed; severe jolting during transportation causes finished product bags to squeeze and collide, resulting in broken particles; leaky truck compartments during rainy weather allow rainwater to soak and mold the feed.

Management skills

1. Improve finished product storage conditions: Install air conditioning or exhaust fans in the finished product warehouse to control the temperature at 20-25℃ and humidity below 60%; adopt a "layered stacking" method, with each layer not exceeding 8 layers, and the bottom layer elevated with pallets (to prevent contact with the ground and moisture absorption); separate different batches and types of feed, affixing labels (indicating production date, shelf life, and feed type); conduct regular inspections (once a week), and promptly isolate and dispose of any damp or moldy finished products.

2. Select qualified packaging and standardize labeling: Purchase food-grade plastic bags with a thickness ≥0.12mm, and seal them using a heat-sealing machine (seal width ≥1cm) to ensure airtightness and prevent leakage; clearly label each bag with the production date, shelf life, ingredient composition, and storage method; warehouse management personnel should issue finished products according to the "first-in, first-out" principle to avoid expiration.

3. Standardize transportation management: Before transportation, inspect the truck bed, clean up sewage and impurities, and lay waterproof cloth in the truck bed if necessary; load reasonably according to the quantity of finished products to avoid excessive compression (e.g., leave a 5cm gap between finished product bags in the truck bed); when transporting in rainy weather, check whether the top of the truck bed is leaking, and cover the truck bed with waterproof tarpaulin; during transportation, the driver should drive smoothly to reduce bumps; after arriving at the destination, assist the recipient in checking whether the finished products are intact, and deal with any damage in a timely manner.
