Working principle of cattle and sheep feed pellet machine
1. Raw Material Preparation
Before using a pellet mill, you must first prepare suitable raw materials. Common raw materials include corn, wheat, soybean meal, bran, and grass meal. The moisture content and particle size of different raw materials affect the quality of the final pellets. Generally, the raw materials should be pulverized to obtain an appropriate particle size for subsequent molding.
2. Silo and Feeding System
The pulverized raw materials are fed into the silo. The pellet mill is equipped with an automatic or manual feeding system to evenly feed the raw materials into the die area. Proper feeding ensures high-quality pellets and avoids blockages and uneven pelletizing.
3. Extrusion
The core components are the die and rollers. During extrusion, the raw materials are subjected to pressure in the die holes. Under high temperature and high pressure, the raw materials are extruded into pellets with a specific shape. Controlling temperature and pressure has a direct impact on the hardness and density of the pellets.
4. Cooling and Drying
After leaving the die, the pellets will have a certain temperature and humidity. They need to be cooled and dried to ensure their hardness and shelf life.
