Are different types of manual floating fish extruder machines difficult to use?

The direct-drive manual pellet mill is the most basic model on the market, characterized by its simple structure and low price. In this type, the hand crank is directly connected to the pressure roller shaft without any speed reduction or torque amplification device; the operating resistance is entirely borne by hand cranking. In tests, processing 10 kg of corn flour required continuous hand cranking for 25 minutes, necessitating two breaks due to excessive resistance. Frequent jamming occurred during the manual cranking process, especially when the die holes were slightly clogged, sometimes requiring two people to operate. The advantages of this model are its small size and light weight, making it suitable for small-scale farmers who occasionally process small quantities; however, its disadvantages are also obvious: labor-intensive operation, low efficiency, and unsuitable for long-term large-scale use.

The gear-reduction manual pellet mill is currently the mainstream model on the market. Its core advantage lies in its built-in reduction gear set, which amplifies the hand cranking torque through gear transmission ratio, significantly reducing operating resistance. Under the same test conditions, processing 10 kg of corn flour takes only 18 minutes, requiring no breaks, and the manual cranking process is smooth and without jamming. Operators reported that the hand-cranking effort for this model is only about half that of the direct-drive model, making it easy for even female farmers to operate. Furthermore, the gear-reduction model offers higher processing efficiency and more consistent pellet quality, making it suitable for small-scale farmers with farms of 1-5 mu (approximately 0.8-0.3 hectares). It should be noted that this model is slightly heavier than the direct-drive model, requiring slightly more effort to move, but this is perfectly acceptable in the long run.

The manual pellet mill with a lever is an upgraded model designed to reduce labor intensity. It adds a retractable lever to the gear reduction system, further reducing hand-cranking effort using leverage. In testing, with the lever extended to its maximum length, the hand-cranking effort was only 1/3 that of the direct-drive model. Processing 10 kg of cornmeal took only 15 minutes, with a relaxed experience and no arm soreness. The lever is also foldable, combining labor-saving and portability, making it suitable for farmers with farms of 5-10 mu (approximately 0.3-0.6 hectares) requiring bulk feed processing. However, its price is relatively high, and for micro-farmers with limited budgets, the cost-effectiveness is not as good as that of gear reduction models.
