From raw materials to finished feed pellets, at least six processing steps are required, which clearly demonstrates the irreplaceable importance of the feed pellet production line in the entire production process.
1. Raw Material Receiving & Cleaning
High-quality raw materials like corn, soybean meal, and bran are first stored in silos. Advanced vibrating screens and magnetic separators remove impurities-straw, soil, and metal fragments-ensuring a clean start and preventing mold contamination.
2. Crushing
Cleaned materials are crushed into uniform fine powder (1.0–2.5 mm) using a hammer mill or claw crusher, preparing them for precise mixing and pelletizing.
3. Ingredient Mixing
Automatic weighing scales measure each ingredient according to the recipe (e.g., 60% corn, 25% soybean meal, 3% premix). A high-efficiency mixer ensures thorough, consistent blending for optimal pellet quality.
4. Pelletizing
The mixed material is compressed into cylindrical pellets by a ring-die or flat-die pelletizer. Pellet size (2–12 mm) is adjustable to suit different livestock types, ensuring feed is easy to eat and digest.
5. Cooling & Drying
Freshly pressed pellets reach 80–90°C with 15–18% moisture. Rapid cooling in a counter-current cooler reduces temperature to room level (±3°C) and moisture to 12–14%, locking in nutrition and extending shelf life.
6. Screening & Packaging
Pellets are screened to remove broken pieces and dust, preventing mold and moisture absorption. High-quality pellets are automatically packed in 25 kg or 50 kg bags, ready for storage or delivery.
