What are the anti-corrosion maintenance strategies for shrimp and crab feed pellet production lines?

Troubleshooting corrosion issues in fish feed extruder pellet feed production lines requires focusing on three key areas: First, the motor shaft and seals. Salt spray and water penetration can cause the motor shaft to rust and stick to the seals, preventing the motor from rotating. To address this, first remove the motor, spray the motor shaft with rust remover, let it stand for 10 minutes, then polish it with fine sandpaper to remove rust. Replace the seals with corrosion-resistant fluororubber sealants, applying waterproof sealant to the seal surface during installation. Second, the transmission gears. If the reduction gears in the shrimp and crab feeder are made of ordinary steel, they are easily corroded, causing tooth surface wear and preventing power transmission. Replace them with 316 stainless steel gears to ensure smooth transmission. Third, the fixing bolts of the rotating feed plate. Corrosion and loosening can cause the feed plate to spin freely. Replace them with titanium alloy bolts, tightening them and applying anti-rust grease to the bolt heads.

In emergency situations, if specialized corrosion-resistant parts are unavailable on-site, temporary measures can be taken: wrap the motor and junction box with plastic film to prevent further water ingress; wrap ordinary bolts with grease before installation to slow down corrosion. After troubleshooting, a thorough repair should be arranged immediately to avoid secondary failures due to the temporary measures failing.

Anti-corrosion upgrades are a long-term solution: Replace all ordinary steel components of the feeder with 316 stainless steel or engineering plastics, such as using nylon for the feed disc and stainless steel for the drive rod; add an anti-corrosion coating to the motor housing using epoxy resin spraying, with a thickness of no less than 0.5mm; when installing the feeder, raise the motor area to 50cm above the highest water level, and install inclined drainage holes at the bottom of the hopper to prevent water accumulation and corrosion; in routine maintenance, rinse the feeder with fresh water weekly and spray metal parts with a special marine anti-corrosion agent monthly to extend service life.
