Are There Any Effective Methods To Improve The Process Of Shrimp Floating Feed Production Lines?

Improvement methods

Method 1: Floating shimp food pellet mill molds are made smaller and softer to fit the small mouths of shrimp. 0.5mm molds are used for shrimp larvae, and 1mm molds for adult shrimp. The mold holes are funnel-shaped (larger entrance, smaller exit), resulting in pellets that are pointed at one end and rounded at the other, making them easy for shrimp to pick up. The puffing temperature is lowered to 110℃ and the pressure to 5MPa, making the pellets softer so shrimp don't need to peck at them, and even juvenile shrimp can eat them easily.

Method 2: Calcium powder is added in layers for more even mixing. Previously, calcium powder was added directly and tended to settle at the bottom of the hopper. Now, it's added in two stages: half is added and mixed with the raw materials, and the other half is added at the feeding port before puffing. The twin-screw mixer ensures even distribution of calcium, resulting in calcium-rich pellets. Shrimp that eat this form have harder shells, increasing survival rate by 30%.

Method 3: An adhesive is added to prevent calcium powder from falling off. Calcium powder tends to shed residue. Adding 2% seaweed gum (a natural binder) to the raw materials helps bind the calcium powder together with the other ingredients. Even after soaking the granules in water for 2 hours, the calcium powder will not fall off, allowing the shrimp to fully absorb it without polluting the shrimp pond.

Precautions

① Don't use coarse calcium powder: Shell powder should be ground into a fine powder of 200 mesh. Coarse calcium powder can scratch the shrimp's intestines. Ask about the fineness when buying, and it's best to grind it yourself.

② Don't add too much seaweed gum: More than 3% will make the pellets too sticky, making them difficult for shrimp to digest. 2% is just right, enough to bind the calcium powder without affecting the texture.

③ Don't set the puffing temperature of the floating shimp food pellet making machine too low: Below 100℃, the pellets won't be cooked, and shrimp will get diarrhea from eating them. 110-120℃ is just right, ensuring they are cooked through while also softening the pellets.
