Fish Feed Pellet Extruder Machine Usage Tips You Need To Know: Adaptation To Different Fish Species & Growth Stages

Adaptation Techniques for Fish Fry Stage: Fish fry are small, have weak feeding abilities, and immature digestive systems, so their feed must meet the requirements of "fine particles, easy digestibility, and high nutrition." First, select a die with a small aperture of 1-2mm to ensure the particle size is suitable for the fry's feeding needs. Second, adjust the parameters of the fish pellet making machine: temperature 120-130℃ (to avoid high temperatures destroying nutrients), pressure 3-3.5MPa (light extrusion), and rotation speed 350-400r/min (shorten the residence time to ensure soft particles). In terms of formulation, increase the proportion of protein ingredients (fish meal 50%-60%), using easily digestible chicken breast meal and salmon meal, and grains such as oats and rice (20%-25%), with an additional small amount of goat milk powder and calcium powder. For example, when raising grass carp fry, processing according to the above parameters and formula results in soft, easily digestible feed particles with a protein digestibility and absorption rate of over 90%, meeting the fry's growth needs.

Adaptation Techniques for Adult Fish: Adult fish grow rapidly and consume large amounts of feed, requiring a balanced diet that is nutritionally balanced, durable, and provides satiety. The die aperture should be 3-5mm (adjusted according to the fish's size; e.g., 3-4mm for carp, 4-5mm for grass carp). Small fish food making machine parameters: Temperature 130-140℃ (for full expansion), pressure 4-4.5MPa, speed 300-350r/min (to ensure pellet hardness). The formula should consist of 40%-50% protein, 30%-35% grains, and 15%-20% vegetables, without the need for excessive supplements. For example, when raising adult carp, a formula of 40% fishmeal, 35% corn, 15% soybean meal, and 10% carrots, processed according to the above parameters, will produce pellets with moderate hardness and a water resistance of over 8 hours, meeting the feeding and growth needs of carp.

Adaptation techniques for specific fish species: When farming carnivorous fish (such as bass and mandarin fish), increase the protein content (60%-70% fishmeal) and process floating feed. Adjust the parameters of the small fish feed pellet making machine to 140-150℃, 5MPa, and 280-320r/min to ensure full expansion of the high-protein raw materials. When farming herbivorous fish (such as bream), increase the proportion of plant-based raw materials (40% corn, 20% wheat bran) and process sinking feed. The parameters are 115-125℃, 2.5-3MPa, and 380r/min. Simultaneously, the pellet shape (e.g., cylindrical, spherical) can be adjusted according to the fish's feeding habits by changing different die heads. By precisely adapting to the needs of different fish species and growth stages, feed utilization can be improved, fish growth promoted, and the farming cycle shortened.
