Floating Fish Feed Making Machine Usage Tips You Need To Know: Parameter Optimization For Floating/Sinking Feed
Leave a message
Parameter optimization techniques for small fish feed pellet making machines: The core of floating feed is to create a porous structure inside the pellets through extrusion, resulting in a density less than water. First, control the temperature at 130-140℃. High temperature promotes full gelatinization of starch in the raw materials, providing a foundation for extrusion. Second, set the pressure to 4-5MPa. Higher pressure causes the moisture in the raw materials to form supersaturated steam. When the raw materials are ejected from the die, the pressure drops sharply, and the steam expands, creating numerous pores. Adjust the screw speed to 300-350r/min. A moderate speed ensures that the raw materials are fully extruded in the extrusion chamber while avoiding excessive extrusion that could cause pore collapse. For example, when farming tilapia, a formula of 30% corn, 40% fishmeal, 25% soybean meal, and 5% vegetables, processed according to the above parameters, can achieve a floating time of 8-12 hours, fully meeting the feeding needs of tilapia. Furthermore, select a die orifice diameter of 2-4mm. Too small an orifice diameter can lead to excessively high pressure, while too large an orifice diameter will affect the extrusion effect.
Parameter optimization techniques for fish feed production equipment: Sinking feed does not require excessive extrusion; parameters should be controlled to reduce the degree of extrusion. Adjust the temperature to 110-120℃; lower temperatures reduce starch gelatinization and moisture evaporation. Set the pressure to 2-3MPa to reduce the amount of steam generated inside the raw material. Increase the screw speed to 350-400r/min to shorten the residence time of the raw material in the extrusion chamber and reduce extrusion. Simultaneously, the proportion of high-density components (such as fishmeal and minerals) in the raw material can be appropriately increased to reduce the overall density of the feed. For example, when raising carp, increasing the fishmeal proportion to 45%, setting the temperature to 115℃, pressure to 2.5MPa, and speed to 380r/min will produce sinking feed that sinks quickly to the bottom, suitable for carp's bottom-feeding habits. Note that the moisture content of sinking feed can be slightly higher than that of floating feed (14%-15%) to improve pellet binding strength and prevent disintegration in water.
Parameter fine-tuning techniques for automatic fish food making equipment: During processing, parameters need to be optimized in real time based on the pellet forming effect. If the floating feed has poor buoyancy, the temperature can be increased by 5-10℃ or the pressure by 0.5MPa; if the sinking feed becomes buoyant, the temperature needs to be lowered and the rotation speed increased. Simultaneously, changes in the raw material formula also require corresponding parameter adjustments. For example, if the starch content in the raw material is insufficient, the temperature and pressure need to be increased to compensate for insufficient extrusion power. Through multiple experiments, the optimal parameters for different formulas are recorded, forming a personalized parameter table that can be directly reused in subsequent processing, improving efficiency and quality stability.
