Working principle of a dry type floating fish feed pellet making machine
After entering the barrel through the feeding system, the material is conveyed forward by the rotating screw. The screw and barrel exert intense shearing, extrusion, and friction on the material, causing its temperature and pressure to continuously rise. Components such as starch and protein in the raw material melt, gelatinize, and plasticize under anhydrous or minimal water, high temperature, and high pressure conditions.
When the material is pushed to the die head, it is extruded through the die orifice and instantly depressurized. Moisture rapidly vaporizes, forming an expanded, cooked, and shaped product, which is then cut and shaped by a cutter.
The entire process continuously completes conveying, mixing, shearing, heating, plasticizing, expanding, and shaping
Feed Hopper
It serves as an inlet for raw materials (such as corn flour, rice flour, etc.) and is used to store and guide materials into the puffing chamber.
Cutting Device
Installed at the discharge port, it consists of high-speed rotating blades used to cut continuously extruded puffed strips into snacks of the desired length.
Outlet
