Feed pellet machine production line equipment can directly form the mixed powdered feed into cylindrical pellets through extrusion, realizing dry-in and dry-out of raw materials. During the granulation process, no water needs to be added, and the natural temperature rise can reach 70℃-80℃, which is enough to gelatinize starch and coagulate and denature protein. Therefore, the pellet feed produced is deeply matured inside, smooth and hard on the surface, adjustable in length, and has a forming rate of up to 100%.

The extruder consists of a feeding system, a transmission system, an extrusion system, a discharging die and an electrical control system. The quenched and tempered material enters the screw extrusion zone. As the volume of the extrusion zone gradually decreases along the axis, the pressure on the material gradually increases, and its compression ratio can reach 4 to 10. The material is pushed by the screw extrusion, accompanied by strong shear and friction, and the pressure and temperature rise sharply. Under the action of high temperature and high pressure, the starch in the material can be basically completely gelatinized and the protein is partially deformed. When the material is squeezed out of the die hole by great pressure, the temperature and pressure drop suddenly due to the sudden exit of the machine body into the atmosphere. Under the combined effect of pressure difference and temperature difference, the volume of the feed expands rapidly, and the material undergoes flash evaporation, that is, the water evaporates rapidly, dehydrates and solidifies, and then passes through a customized discharge die to achieve the required shapes and structures, thus making puffed pellet feed.
Puffed feed is not only suitable for materials with high starch and fat content due to the gelatinization of starch, but also because of the high temperature and high pressure maturation, the disinfection and sterilization effects are more obvious, the applicability is strong, and the feed resources that can be puffed are more extensive. It is precisely because of the many advantages of puffing that more and more feed factories have begun to puff aquatic feed.
