Differentiated optimization of screw speed and extrusion temperature is key for pet feed extruder machines. When producing puppy food, the screw speed is controlled at 200-220 rpm and the extrusion temperature at 85-90℃. Because puppy food pellets are small (3mm) and require a soft texture, the low speed extends the residence time of the raw materials in the barrel, while the low temperature prevents damage to the nutrients in the whey powder. When producing adult dog food, the speed is increased to 250-280 rpm, the temperature to 90-95℃, and the pellet diameter to 5mm, ensuring the pellets are firm and chewy. For cat food, because cats have a high fat requirement, the extrusion temperature is lowered to 80-85℃, the speed to 230 rpm, and a low-temperature spray (40℃) is applied immediately after discharge to preserve the meat flavor, increasing pet consumption by 18%.

Synchronized control of feeding speed and moisture content further improves efficiency. A gradient feeding mode is adopted, with the initial feeding speed at 50% of the rated value (50 kg/h). Once the extruder is running stably, the speed is gradually increased to 100 kg/h to avoid blockages caused by excessive instantaneous feeding. Raw material moisture content is controlled at 14%-15%. Simultaneously, "vacuum cooling" technology is used after extrusion to reduce the feed temperature to below 35℃ within 10 minutes before adding probiotics to ensure the live bacteria count meets standards. When producing feed containing fruits and vegetables, reduce the conditioning time to 1.5 minutes and the extrusion temperature to 85℃ to avoid destroying components such as vitamin C in the fruits and vegetables. Establish a parameter database to record the optimal parameters for different formulas, such as a rotation speed of 250 rpm and a temperature of 92℃ for chicken-flavored dog food, and a rotation speed of 230 rpm and a temperature of 83℃ for fish-flavored cat food, to achieve rapid production switching and stable quality.
