How Are Feed Pellets Made?
Leave a message
To make pellet feed, you need to purchase three feed processing machines, namely, a grass chopper, a thresher, and a pellet machine. If conditions permit, you can also configure a mixer. First, chop the various forage grasses into short pieces with a grass chopper, and then use a thresher to pound the chopped grasses into powder. The concentrated feed is also crushed here, and then the various raw materials are mixed evenly. It can be mixed manually. It can also be mixed with a mixer, sprayed with a small amount of water, and then added to the pellet machine to make pellets. The pellets are mostly cylindrical, and their sizes are 2-3mm in diameter and 8-10mm in length for lambs, and 3-4mm in diameter and 10-12mm in length for adult sheep.

Raising sheep with pellet feed means mixing forage with other concentrated feed to make pellets. Mixing forage with concentrated feed makes it more palatable. When sheep eat concentrated feed, they will swallow the forage together. This will not cause waste of forage. Even if poorly suitable, rough forage, weeds, and crop roots are mixed in, sheep will eat them all. According to production practice, feeding sheep with pellet feed can save about 30% of forage. At the same time, the cost of making pellet feed does not increase much, which has been proven to be very suitable.
