How Can I Make The Particle Size Produced By The Floating Feed Machine More Consistent?

 

 

The small fish feed machine is producing pellets of uneven length, and the problem lies with the cutter. First, stop the machine and disconnect the power. Check the distance between the cutter and the ring die. If it's too far, the pellets will be long; if it's too close, the pellets will be short. Use a wrench to loosen the cutter's fixing screws and move the cutter towards the ring die until it's about 0.5 mm away (about half a sheet of paper thick). Then tighten the screws. After adjustment, manually rotate the cutter to ensure smooth rotation and that it doesn't hit the ring die.

 

Inconsistent pellet size is caused by an incorrectly selected or installed ring die. For chick and fish fry feed, use a ring die with an aperture of 2 mm or less; for adult pig and cattle feed, use a ring die with an aperture of 3-5 mm. When changing the ring die, align it with the positioning pin; don't install it crookedly, otherwise the raw material will be unevenly stressed, resulting in pellets of varying sizes. After installation, manually rotate the ring die; if the resistance is even, there's no problem.

 

Also, the feeding speed must be stable. Fluctuations in speed will cause inconsistent amounts of raw material entering the floating fish feed pellet machine cavity, resulting in irregular pellet output. Set the feed speed controller to "uniform speed". If manual speed adjustment is unstable, switch to an automatic feeder to ensure the raw materials enter evenly. With the adjustment of the cutter and ring die, the particles will be uniform.
