How To Troubleshoot A Floating Fish Extruder Machine Malfunction?

The first step of systematic troubleshooting is to conduct a preliminary inspection of the equipment. Before starting the machine, check whether the power supply is normal, whether the parts are installed correctly, whether there is foreign matter in the machine, and whether the lubricating oil is added in place. Then carry out the no-load test run, observe whether the machine runs smoothly, whether there is abnormal noise, and whether the speed and temperature control systems work normally. If there is an abnormality in the no-load test run, it is necessary to solve the equipment installation or parts problems first, and then carry out the load test run.

The second step is the load test run and factor elimination. Take 50kg of raw materials that have been pretreated (adjusted moisture, crushed, mixed) for the test run. During the test run, observe the pelletizing situation, and eliminate the influencing factors one by one: 1. Check the raw material factor: take a small amount of raw materials by hand, and if they can be kneaded into a ball and scattered when gently thrown, the moisture is appropriate; if the raw materials are dry and loose, the moisture is insufficient; if they are sticky, the moisture is too high. 2. Check the parameter factor: if the raw material is normal but cannot be pelletized, adjust the screw speed and die temperature step by step. For example, reduce the speed by 20-30r/min or increase the temperature by 5-10℃, and observe the pelletizing effect. 3. Check the parts factor: if the parameters are adjusted and the effect is not good, stop the machine to check the gap between the screw and the die, whether the die is blocked, and whether the feeder works normally.

The third step is to confirm the cause and implement the solution. According to the above elimination process, confirm the specific cause of the pelletizing failure and take targeted measures: if the moisture is insufficient, add water evenly; if the speed is too high, reduce the speed; if the screw and die are not concentric, adjust the installation position; if the die is of poor quality, replace the die. After solving the problem, carry out a continuous test run of 100-200kg of raw materials to verify the stability of the pelletizing effect.

Preventive measures are equally important to avoid repeated problems. First, establish a raw material pretreatment standard operating procedure (SOP), clearly stipulating the moisture content, particle size and mixing time of different raw materials. Second, record the equipment operation parameters and pelletizing effect of each test run, and establish a parameter database for different feed formulas. Third, carry out regular maintenance of the equipment, including cleaning the machine after use, checking the wear of parts, and lubricating the transmission system. Fourth, conduct professional training for operators to make them master the basic principles of the pellet machine, parameter adjustment methods and common fault handling skills. By establishing a complete troubleshooting and prevention system, the problem of the newly bought fish feed pellet machine failing to make pellets can be solved fundamentally, and the stable and efficient operation of the equipment can be ensured.
