How To Check Fish Feed Extruder Machine Equipment?

First of all, check the installation of the main engine. The small fish feed pellet machine should be installed on a solid concrete foundation, and the levelness should be adjusted with a level meter, so that the horizontal and vertical deviation of the main engine is not more than 0.2mm/m. If the main engine is not level, the screw will be subjected to uneven force during operation, resulting in uneven extrusion force on the raw materials, and it is difficult to form pellets. At the same time, check whether the anchor bolts of the main engine are tightened to avoid vibration during operation affecting the pelletizing effect. The Hubei fish farmer did not fix the main engine on the concrete foundation, but simply placed it on the ground, resulting in severe vibration of the machine and failure to pelletize normally.


Secondly, check the matching of screw and die. The screw and die are the core parts of the pellet machine. The two must be concentric, and the gap between the screw and the die should be uniform, generally 0.1-0.3mm. If the gap is too large, the extrusion force on the raw materials is insufficient, and it is difficult to form pellets; if the gap is too small, the screw and die will rub against each other, causing abnormal wear and noise. To check the concentricity, you can manually rotate the screw and observe whether there is any jamming or uneven gap. If there is a problem with concentricity, you need to loosen the fixing bolts of the die seat, adjust the position of the die, and then tighten the bolts. In addition, check whether the die has quality defects such as cracks and uneven inner holes. If so, contact the manufacturer for replacement in time.

 

Then, check the installation of the feed system. The feed hopper should be installed firmly, and the discharge port should be aligned with the feed port of the main engine to avoid raw material blockage. The feeder should operate smoothly without jamming. If the feeder is not installed properly, the feed rate will be unstable, resulting in insufficient or excessive raw materials entering the main engine, which will affect the pelletizing effect. At the same time, check whether the transmission system (such as belt, chain) is installed correctly, whether the tension is appropriate, and whether there is oil leakage in the reducer. The abnormal operation of the transmission system will lead to unstable screw speed and affect the pelletizing quality.

 

Finally, check the electrical system. Ensure that the motor is connected correctly, the voltage is stable, and the control system (such as frequency converter, temperature controller) works normally. The abnormal operation of the electrical system may cause the motor to run at an abnormal speed or the temperature control to fail, resulting in the failure of pelletizing. After the above installation and parts checks, most of the pelletizing problems caused by installation and parts can be solved.
