Raw materials are the primary factor affecting the output of a dry fish feed pellet extruder machine. Generally, a raw material fineness of 80–100 mesh is required, ensuring good flowability, easy extrusion, and smooth discharge. Uniform raw materials allow the equipment to operate continuously and stably, preventing jamming, idling, or blockages, which naturally increases output. II. Control Appropriate Raw Material Moisture to Stabilize Discharge Speed

Raw material moisture is one of the key parameters determining the output of a dry pet food manufacturing process. Too low a moisture content results in dry, poorly flowing raw materials with high resistance during extrusion and low output; too high a moisture content causes raw materials to easily stick to the screw, causing blockages or even machine shutdown. The optimal raw material moisture range for dry fish feed extruders is 14%–22%. Before production, a small amount of water can be sprayed, depending on the ambient humidity, stirred evenly, and allowed to stand for 10 minutes before loading the machine. Stable moisture allows the raw materials to be smoothly propelled and evenly gelatinized in the barrel, resulting in continuous output and a significant increase in yield.

III. Properly Adjusting Temperature and Speed to Maximize Equipment Efficiency

Temperature and speed are key adjustment parameters for improving the output of a dry floating fish feed making machine. If the barrel temperature is too low, the raw materials gelatinize slowly and encounter high resistance; if the temperature is too high, the raw materials are prone to charring and clogging. The commonly used temperature range for dry fish feed machines is 80℃–130℃, with minor adjustments based on the raw material formula. Regarding speed, appropriately increasing the speed within the equipment's allowable range can increase propulsion and output, but overloading should be avoided. Properly matching temperature and speed allows the raw materials to gelatinize quickly and be smoothly extruded in the barrel, significantly increasing the output per unit of time.
