Steps To Replace The Motor Of An Automatic Dog Food Machine

content

Common Problem 1: Misaligned Motor Installation, Unable to Connect with the Linkage Shaft

This is the most frequent problem (accounting for 40% of replacement failures). The core cause is misalignment of the motor output shaft and the dog food pellet maker machine's linkage shaft during installation, or misalignment of the mounting bolt holes. Solution: First, turn off the power. Use a ruler to measure the center deviation between the motor output shaft and the linkage shaft. Adjust the motor position to ensure they are aligned (deviation ≤ 0.1mm). If the bolt holes are misaligned, do not force drilling. Readjust the motor's placement angle, or check if the motor's mounting dimensions match the dog food pellet machine's base. If the dimensions are incompatible, replace with a compatible motor. After adjustment, gently rotate the linkage shaft to ensure there is no jamming, then tighten the mounting bolts to prevent vibration and abnormal noise during subsequent operation.

Common Problem 2: Incorrect Wiring, Motor Fails to Start or Reverses

This problem stems from confusion between the live, neutral, and ground wires during wiring, or loose terminals. This can cause the motor to fail to start, reverse after starting, or even burn out the motor and the dog food pellet extruder machine's electrical components. Troubleshooting Tips: First, turn off the main power and unplug the power cord. Use a multimeter to test the terminals, distinguishing between the live, neutral, and ground wires. Rewire according to the old motor's wiring markings (or the extruder's electrical schematic), ensuring secure connections and correct markings. If the motor reverses direction after starting, the live and neutral wires are reversed; simply swap their positions. After wiring, use a multimeter again to confirm there are no short circuits or wiring errors before performing a no-load test to avoid electric shock or equipment damage. Simultaneously, ensure proper insulation during wiring to prevent dust and oil from causing short circuits at the terminals.

Common Problem 3: Vibration, abnormal noise, and poor linkage after motor installation

These problems often occur after replacing the motor in a dog food pellet making machine. The main causes are insecure motor mounting, loose linkage shaft connections, or a mismatch between the motor speed and the extruder's speed. Troubleshooting Tips: First, stop the machine and disconnect the power. Check if the motor mounting bolts are loose. Tighten them evenly with a wrench. If the machine base is loose, reinforce it. Check the connection between the motor, the linkage shaft, and the reducer. Tighten the connecting bolts, clean the dust and oil from the connection points, and add a small amount of high-temperature grease to ensure smooth operation. If vibration and abnormal noise persist, check if the motor speed is compatible with the dog food extruder machine. If the speed is not compatible, adjust the reducer parameters or replace the motor with one that matches the speed. In addition, check if the motor bearings are stuck or worn. If any abnormalities are found, replace the bearings promptly to prevent the abnormal noise from worsening and damaging the extruder's linkage components.
