Why Is The Pellet Output Of My Floating Fish Feed Extruder Machine Decreasing?

content

The first step is to clear "blockages," which is the main reason for decreased output. After shutting down the machine and disconnecting the power, disassemble the mold and use a special cleaning needle to clear any residual material from the mold holes. Many mold holes may appear clear, but they are actually blocked by small clumps, affecting the granule output. Next, clean the puffing chamber by brushing off any material adhering to the chamber walls, ensuring no material remains and takes up space.

The second step is to check for "wear." Worn parts will reduce feeding and extrusion efficiency. Check the feeding screw; if the threads are worn flat, it won't feed smoothly and needs to be replaced. Check the pressure rollers; if the surface patterns are worn away, the extrusion force is insufficient, resulting in fewer granules. When replacing the pressure rollers, remember to check the ring die at the same time; proper coordination between the two ensures more even wear.

The third step is to adjust the "parameters." Improper coordination between feeding speed and temperature will also affect output. Slightly increase the feeding speed and simultaneously raise the temperature by 5°C to allow the raw material to expand and granulate quickly in the chamber. However, don't increase the speed too much, or the machine will jam. One shrimp farmer restored his yield from 80 jin per hour to 120 jin per hour by cleaning the mold holes and adjusting the parameters.
