First, the conditioning process is crucial: steam not only softens the starch in the raw materials, increasing its gelatinization (usually to over 60%), enhancing the feed's binding properties and preventing rapid pellet collapse upon entering water, but also kills some harmful microorganisms (such as E. coli) in the raw materials, improving feed safety. Next, the pressing system of the electric fish feed extruder machine uses pressure rollers and ring dies to create strong extrusion pressure (up to 15-30 MPa). Under high pressure, the proteins in the raw materials denature, further strengthening the structural stability of the pellets. Rapid cooling: To prevent the granules from "absorbing air", immediately cool them with cold air (to room temperature in 5-10 minutes) after granulation to prevent the granules from absorbing air and forming tiny bubbles during the cooling process; after cooling, the density of the granules becomes 1.1-1.2 g/cm³ (greater than water), and they will naturally sink to the bottom.
